Locally or Family-Owned Business Notes

It all began when Larry & Mary Richling decided to buy a Riverboat. They purchased what was formerly the Belle of Brownville and renamed it the River City Star and moved it from Bellevue to Omaha. The 4-Deck Excursion Vessel cruised the Missouri River until 2009 when the Richlings retired her and then renovated the old 4-level Riverboat to become a permanently anchored floating party barge called the Kon-Tiki-O. The Kon-Tiki-O is docked at our facility along Omaha's beautiful riverfront.

The Richlings then purchased a newer, smaller 2-Deck Riverboat which is the current River City Star. The River City Star has been docked on Omaha's Riverfront since the spring of 2009. The Richlings had the boat brought from Lake Mead, Nevada to Omaha, Nebraska via two semi trucks, each one carrying a deck. It was quite the sight to see rolling down the highways!

Mr. & Mrs. Richling have riverboating in their blood, and they are both Admirals in the Great Navy of the State of Nebraska! (Bet you never knew that existed, huh?)
